About Kobe
I grew up knowing about Jesus, but I wasn’t living according to God’s will for my life. I was so broken; struggling with my identity. During my sophomore year of college, I remember sitting in my room telling myself, “I am tired of the way I am living.” From then on, I decided to follow Jesus, declared him my Lord and Savior, and he began to transform my life.
The Lord has given me a heart for the youth. I have always wanted to give back to the West Kauai community and pour into the next generation just as my coaches did for me through youth, travel, and high school sports. Baseball played a big role in my life, and high school bowling allowed me to find joy in sports again. Sports kept me out of trouble, gave me countless opportunities, and led me to a place and environment where I experienced and encountered Jesus and his transformational power.
I first heard of FCA during University when I attended a few huddles and Night of Champions events. During a Night of Champions, I experienced this generation's hunger for Jesus, and I want others to experience it as well. Words can’t fully express the gratitude and excitement I have in partnering with the Lord and stepping into ministry with FCA. I’m excited to see how He will move through the influence of coaches and student-athletes alike.
